Servant Robot - Helpful in Kitchen

Servant robots are entering our world. We find them carrying mail, cleaning our floors, our windows, and care for our lawns and our swimmig pools. These examples of robot servants, however, are single purpose. For a moment, let's explore the possibilities of a robot servant with multiple uses / applications. It goes without saying that a big advantage of a robot servant is that it can work pretty much 24 hours a day. At first people will use them only to take over activities that the owners have previously done themselves. Next higher standard of cleanliness will become the norm. No dust will be allowed to accumulate anywhere. Minor dents will be fixed immediately. Windows will be cleaned daily. robotservant image3A future robot servant will also be available to carry packages and items for their owner, and once sufficient intelligence is acquired - to actually go "shopping" for the owner. It was interesting to see the robots "going about their business" in the summer movie a few years back - I, Robot. In the movie - robots were doing many things - from waiting on customers in a diner to conversing with the elderly. Massive unemployment could be a potential economic problem, and we need to prepare for keeping a consumption society "alive and kickin" by somehow producing other jobs that aren't conducive to robot servants. We'll also need to make sure that people have money to spend (through government grants or otherwise) - for those disadvantaged whos jobs have been taken over by intelligent robot servants.
